Harry Field-Theotokatos was born in Australia, grew up in Greece and retuned to Australia in 1974.  Harry holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He worked for 20 years for the Federal Ministry of Social Security and its replacement agency Centrelink. He worked in various positions in the national Multicultural Services Section of these organisations servicing their migrant clients. At the same time he was actively involved on social security and welfare policy issues within the Greek community of Sydney. In 2003 Harry returned to Greece where he worked as a senior consultant for European Profiles SA for 3 years for international projects. From 2007 onwards he worked as a freelance consultant for EU funded projects, mostly in Romania, former Yugoslavia countries and Cyprus. Harry worked mainly as a team leader, evaluator and researcher in areas such as social inclusion of vulnerable social groups and active employment policies and services. In 2011 he moved to Cyprus and retuned back to Australia in 2015. Since 2015, Harry has worked on various projects and in 2018 started researching the migration of Greeks from Greece since 2010.
