Andrea Albrecht, is a reseasrch associate to the Seesox diaspora project focusing on quantative data analysis. In addition, she works as a research data manager at the University of Cologne and holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Cologne. She has also worked as a quality manager in the private sector and as  a research associate at the Universities of Cologne and Essen. At the 
University of Düsseldorf she led introductory seminars on methods of empirical social research. Her research interests are social inequality, migration, and social networks.
