Ioannis Krasonikolakis has joined the Greek Diaspora team to work diaspora start up entrepreneurship. the title of the project is 'Greek Diaspora University Entrepreneurship in the UK: Mapping and building avenues of collaboration'
Ioannis Krasonikolakis is Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing and is currently serving as a visiting scholar at St Antony's College, University of Oxford. He is also Deputy Director of the Centre for Global Business Enterprise and Cloud Analytics, Henley Business School Malaysia, University of Reading Malaysia.
Previously, he held appointments as Lecturer in Retail Marketing and Programme Leader of the MSc in Digital Marketing at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, Adjunct Lecturer at the University College Dublin, at the Singapore Institute of Management, and at the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus. Also, he has worked as an assistant consultant in Planning S.A. in the Grocery Retailing sector, and as a programmer in Siemens S.A. in the Software Department.
Ioannis holds a PhD in Marketing & Information Systems (thesis title: "3D Internet Retailing: Experimental Investigation of Interactive Shopping Interface - Store Atmosphere Effects on User-Consumer Buying Behaviour"), a Master's degree in Information Systems and a BSc in Informatics all issued from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
He has been awarded over £100,000 in research funding to date and is currently leading a research team as Principal Investigator on advanced quantitative methods for supporting geolocation marketing and identifying behavioural patterns in the retail sector. He has also been involved in research projects in the area of user/consumer behaviour in physical, online and 3-dimensional environments, design and store layout of retail stores, and Predictive Modelling in analytics. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed journal papers and conference proceedings in European Journal of Marketing, Information & Management, and other outlets.
