'The new Greek Diaspora': Upcoming public online discussion co-organized by SEESOX and diaNEOsis on 7 April

SEESOX and diaNEOsis would like to kindly invite you to a public online discussion on "The New Greek Diaspora" that will take place on Wednesday, April 7 at 16:30 UK time.

SEESOX and diaNEOsis would like to kindly invite you to a public online discussion on "The New Greek Diaspora" that will take place on Wednesday, April 7 at 16:30 UK time.

What is the profile of the new Greek Diaspora? To what extent and under what conditions are Greeks able and willing to contribute to Greece? What obstacles do they encounter? Under what conditions would they return to the country? Why did some of  them choose to return? And how does the pandemic affect their decisions?

The discussion will last approximately an hour and it will be chaired by the Content Director of diANEOsis Thodoris Georgakopoulos. It will include the following panelists:

Alexis Patelis, Head of the Finance Office of the Greek Prime Minister.

Othon Anastasakis, Director of the Center for Southeast European Studies at the University of Oxford.

Manolis Pratsinakis, Lecturer in migration Studies and Onassis Fellow at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnology, University of Oxford. 

Members of the new Greek diaspora as well as returnees will also present their experiences
