Manolis Pratsinakis, together with Effie Voutira (University of Macedonia/ Refugee Studies Centre, Oxford) and Olga Demetriou (Durham University) participated in the panel discussion on Migration, Refugeehood and Citizenship that took place in the context of the 'Rethinking Modern Greek Studies in the 21st Century' conference that was held in Oxford 31 January - 1 February 2020.

Building on the existing synergy between two vibrant research communities working on the culture of Modern Greece and South Europe in the Universities of Oxford and Amsterdam, a newly founded network was established with the aim to initiate an innovative Cultural Analysis Network on Modern Greece. The conference was the first event of the network which is funded by the TORCH international partnerships scheme, with additional support from the Marilena Laskaridis Chair in Modern Greek Studies (Amsterdam) and the Sub-faculty of Modern Greek (Oxford).
